Vice President - Operations Support
Contract management expatriate position in the Mining Sector (smelting & refining) in Isabel, in the Philippines.
The package will be in line with the seniority of the position and take cognizance of experience and qualifications.
REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President for Production and Operations
BASIC FUNCTIONS: Responsible for Project Studies and Process improvements, supporting and driving the strategic planning processes, competitive insights, and new initiatives for the company.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Prepare technical and financial feasibility studies for projects required for the company to be regulations-compliant and to grow and remain competitive.
2. Review and evaluate all major project studies and improvement proposals to ensure that ideas are technically and financially viable.
3. Conduct competitive research relating to existing and potential products/processes and participating in execution of opportunities as required.
4. Recommend process improvement in operations where required.
5. As member of the Mancom, assist to establish objectives and strategies for the operations at plant site, which fulfill the financial and business objectives of the company.
6. Work with operating groups to link objectives and strategies to divisional growth targets.
7. Assist the SVP Operations to develop and train all levels of Operations Managers.
8. Manage other corporate projects and departments including other duties as may be assigned.

§ All levels of Management across the various departments, i.e. Operations, Finance, Commercial and Human Resources.
Job Requirements:
§ Graduate of any engineering course, preferably Metallurgical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
§ Must have a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or financial equivalent and at least 5 years work experience in a Senior Management position in a large industrial organisation, preferably in mining / smelting industry
§ Computer literate and proficient.
§ Good presentation skills and well versed in written motivations.
§ Demonstration of working under pressure.
