Marketing/Engineering Commercial Leadership Programme

The ECLP (Experienced Commercial Leadership Program) accelerates the development of commercial savvy talent through a structured program combining coursework, job assignments and interactive seminars. ECLP alumni will be considered for key commercial leadership positions in the MEA region.

ECLP is a two-year program consisting of four six-month, rotational assignments within the commercial function of my client's business. Typical assignments can include delivering a project or business objective around NPI, market entry strategy, sales force effectiveness, target potentialization, market segmentation, marcomms, account management, pricing controllership, risk finance and direct sales. Typical locations for assignments can be either in-country (Johannesburg, Lagos, Dubai, Nairobi, Algiers, Doha, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman) or international (Houston, Schenectady, Florence, London, Aberdeen) dependent on business needs.

Program participants strengthen their commercial, business, and leadership skills by completing an intensive curriculum consisting of six weeks of classroom training and in-residence global symposiums.

Successful candidates will be hired into the Middle East & Africa region, but will require geographic mobility and flexibility throughout EMEA for the duration of the program.

Qualifications

ECLPs Middle East & Africa should be highly educated and talented individuals with commercial acumen and a strong record of achievement.
• Bachelors/Masters in Engineering is essential; MBA or Marketing major is preferred
• Commercial (sales and marketing) experience gained within the oil & gas industry from an OEM, petrochemical supplier or third party provider perspective is strongly preferred
• Strong preference for candidates from Nigeria and Angola

• All candidates to posses English to business-fluency level plus additional languages appropriate to market sector covered
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to negotiate and influence at senior levels both internally and with customers/clients
• Self-starter able to drive results and work effectively in global, virtual teams
